7th Annual French American Gospel Music Exchange
July 14, 2010
In honor of their American hosts and in the spirit of their concert theme, Love, Harmony, Peace and Unity, the French American Gospel Music Workshop Exchange will bless their French and American friends and families with a free “Bastille Day” concert. On Wednesday, July 14th at 7:30 p.m. the French musical ambassadors will perform highlights from “Singing the Gospel” at St. Francis Episcopal Church, located at 9220 Georgetown Pike, Great Falls, Virginia, 22066.
Produced and directed by world renowned pioneering director, dancer and choreographer Larry Vickers, the “Bastille Day” concert celebrating French Independence Day commemorates the 1789 storming of the Paris prison as a historical symbol against the economic injustice which ignited the French Revolution. The full-length production of “SINGING THE GOSPEL,” personifies this unity of spirit as the theme of this year’s exchange, Love, Harmony, Peace and Unity. The show spotlights more than 65 French musical ambassadors who will join over 100 American singers and musicians in a three-part program focusing on Love, Harmony, Peace and Unity.
