This theatrical re-enactment includes performances of works by writers such as Zora Neale Hurston and Langston Hughes, live music with songs by Josephine Baker and Billie Holiday will be performed and an assortment of characters will set the tone for an evening that will transport attendees to a 1930s style cabaret party. Everyone is encouraged to dress in the style of the 1920s and 1930s and be prepared to celebrate a significant time in the cultural history of African-Americans, in and outside of the U.S. 

General Admission $55; AF Members $45. Call 202-234-7911 to reserve. Reservations will be accepted until 4:00 pm on February 22. Afterwards tickets may be purchased at the door.
