In order to kick-off the Bastille Day celebration, the Alliance Francaise will host the funky band Dimestore. The music of the band defines alternative funk and pop. Vintage French Car Exhibit

After the great success of the past two years, the Citroën Club of North America will be back in front of the Alliance Française with some of its most beautiful and rare pieces. This car enthusiasts club is the largest Citroën Club on this continent and was created in 1974. During the exhibit, the public will have the chance to admire the cars from the outside, and three lucky winners will be able to enjoy a “blast from the past” on board of one of these exceptional collector’s items.  

Pétanque for beginners and beyond!

This year, come and take your first pétanque lesson with the National Capital Club de Pétanque! On the same day from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm, three pétanque lovers will teach you the basics of this traditional French sport. The lesson will be followed by a mini-tournament during which you will put to practice your new skills! The pétanque court is located at the Virginia Highland Park, just a block away from Pentagon City Metro Station. A perfect warm-up to indulge yourself in the French tradition, before continuing the festivities at the Bastille Day celebration!
