Fundraising Event to Benefit the Victims of the Earthquake in Haiti, in partnership with Doctors Without Borders, who have been instrumental in providing urgently needed medical treatment to the thousands of people injured in the January 12 disaster.
This event is presented by the l'Alliance Française de Washington, with support from Petits Plats French Restaurant, La Fourchette French Restaurant, Méditerranée French Restaurant (Great Falls, VA), Lavandou French restaurant, Kassat Restaurant (Arlington), Bonaparte Breads (Baltimore), Chef's Warehouse, Filmfest DC, GW Lisner Auditorium, Letelier Theater, 9:30 Nightclub, Calypso Import & Calypso Organic Selection, Planète Chic Productions, Firehook Bakery, Fabrique Délices, International Consulting in Cooking & Catering and more.
A short discussion will be lead by Maryse Burgot, US Correspondent for France 2 French Television.
With Stanley Lucas, Executive Committee, Greater Washington Haiti Relief Committee (http://www.gwhrc.org/), and (to be confirmed) a representative from Doctors Without Borders. They will speak about the work being done on the ground and the progress of the organization’s relief projects in Haiti.
Silent Auction including a free session of classes at the Alliance Française with a family membership (value: $445), concert tickets, paintings, wine, hotel nights, the use of Letelier theater* (value: $1,200,) a dinner cooked by French chef at your home and donated items to raise additional funds.
Haitian music, French food and wine.
100% of all revenue from this event will go towards reconstruction efforts in Haiti.
