The Alliance Française Library: A true resource for francophiles!
The Alliance Française has one the Washington area's largest lending-to-all collections of French books, periodicals, DVDs and CDs. These are selected to reflect the Francophone culture of yesterday, today, and tomorrow.
The library serves all -- students and non-students, native speakers and learners, children, teenagers, and adults. In 2008, a total of 14,000 library items were checked out.
The Library Fund enables us to respond to an increasing demand by:
- Employing additional staff to serve library users, as well as offering opportunities for professional training;
- Expanding our collections of books, comic strips, DVDs, CDs and periodicals; and
- Purchasing technical equipment for self instruction and on-site use of audio-visual documents.
Please note that the amount of your contribution is deductible as a charitable contribution for federal income tax purposes. Please consult your tax adviser.
